COLUMBIA, Mo. – At 10:35 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20 the University of Missouri Police Department received the following information:

Around 9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19 a University student while walking between Lowry Hall and McDonalds, on the University campus, was assaulted by an unknown male. The male knocked the female student to the ground. The female subject was able to free herself from the attacker and he ran from the scene in an unknown direction.

The female described the suspect as a white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, average build, and wearing a dark stocking cap, dark shirt and dark pants. The male was clean-shaven and appeared to be college aged.

This release is to raise your awareness about this incident and to solicit information about this or other similar incidents that may have occurred elsewhere on campus.
