Statement on Reported Robbery:
At approximately 12:10 a.m., Sept. 17, University of Missouri police officers were dispatched to the Francis Quadrangle following the report of a robbery that occurred between Engineering Building East and Switzler Hall. The male victim, a 21-year-old University of Missouri student, informed officers that he had been robbed around 12:05 a.m. by three black males.
The victim stated that one male approached him from behind, pulling him to the ground while the other males kicked him, went through his backpack, and took his cellular phone and wallet. Two of the males then ran toward Sixth Street and Stewart Road and the remaining male ran north toward Peace Park.
The victim gave the following descriptions of the black males:
Suspect 1: was wearing a dark green or gray cloth type jacket with no hood, brown jersey gloves, and dark pants.
Suspect 2: was wearing a black jacket with a hood or a hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
Suspect 3: was wearing dark clothing and had a black and white handkerchief over his face.
The victim stated he was not injured and refused medical attention.
