CLERY RELEASE
August 25, 2012

STATEMENT ON REPORTED ASSAULT:

At approximately 1:13 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, an officer from the University of Missouri Police Department located a white male who had been assaulted.  The assault occurred in University of Missouri Parking Lot RC 18 near Bengals bar. 

The victim, age 29, was assaulted by four black males after an argument in the parking lot.  The victim was struck in the face at least once by each of the suspects.  The suspects left the area in what is believed to be a silver Impala.  No further description of the suspects is available.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
