STATEMENT ON PURSUIT:
At approximately 4:17 p.m., Jan. 5,
University of Missouri-Columbia Police Officers became involved in a
pursuit trying to apprehend Todd L. McCormick, in reference to a
burglary investigation being conducted by the department. McCormick
also has two felony warrants for his arrest. One warrant is for
second degree burglary from Boone County and the second is for a
parole violation from Wisconsin.
The pursuit originated near Rogers and
College by Walt’s Bike shop and ended near 2080 Missouri Rural
Route Z with McCormick fleeing the area on foot. The pursuit lasted
for approximately 20 minutes and covered 28 miles. The department was
assisted by Columbia Police Department, Missouri State Highway
Patrol, and the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.
McCormick was not apprehended at the
scene and is wanted by the MU Police Department. Anyone with
