STATEMENT ON ROBBERY REPORTED TO
MUPD:
COLUMBIA, Mo. – At 10:57 p.m.,
Friday, Sept. 29, the University of Missouri-Columbia Police
Department received a report of a robbery that happened in University
Parking Lot RC-18 near Peace Park.
Officers responded to the area where a
female victim reported the theft of her wallet. As she approached her
vehicle she noticed a male subject, Johnnie L. Littrell, in her
vehicle. When Littrell exited her vehicle she noticed that he had
her wallet in his hand. The female grabbed Littrell’s arm in an
attempt to prevent him from leaving with her wallet, but he pulled
away and ran toward Peace Park.
Officers located Littrell hiding in the
bushes within Peace Park. Littrell was arrested for robbery 2nd
degree (RSMo 569.030), tampering w/motor vehicle (RSMo 569.090-d),
and property damage 2nd degree (RSMo 569.120).
