Statement on Reported Robbery:

At approximately 1:36 a.m., Oct. 12th, a University of Missouri police officer was dispatched to the intersection of Broadway and Eighth (8th) Street following the report of a robbery that occurred near the Francis Quadrangle. The male victim, who is not a University of Missouri student, informed the officer that he had been robbed around 1:15 a.m. by two black males. 

The victim stated after a brief altercation with the two black males he was punched and knocked to the ground.  When he was knocked to the ground, the other male grabbed his wallet out of his back pocket. The victim pursued the two black males north on Eighth Street toward the downtown area where he lost sight of them still running north on Eighth Street past Broadway. 

The victim gave the following suspect descriptions:

Suspect 1: black male, late teens or early twenties, between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 foot 10 inches tall, small to medium build, no facial hair, wearing baggy pants, and a red hooded sweatshirt.

Suspect 2: black male, late teens or early twenties, between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 foot 10 inches tall, small to medium build, no facial hair, wearing baggy pants, and a dark hooded sweatshirt.

The victim received minor injuries to his lower lip, both knees, and left elbow.  The victim was offered medical attention but refused.
