A female student has reported to MUPD officers that at approximately 2:30 a.m., Feb. 24, she was assaulted by a white male. The male shoved the victim into her vehicle, which was parked in a driveway on the west side of Stafford Hall, where he then assaulted her. He then took her purse and ran from the area toward Gardner Hyde. The female victim could not supply any further description at this time. The victim reported the incident to MUPD on Tuesday, Feb. 26.
“We are sending this Clery Release as a timely warning so that we can inform the community of the incident and ask for assistance from the public,” MUPD Captain Brian Weimer said. “If you have information on this incident or any other crime, please contact the University Police at (573)882-7201 or Crime Stoppers at (573) 875-8477.”
